President's Welcome

On behalf of Engineering Graduate Community Council (EGCC) at University of Saskatchewan, it is my privilege to welcome new and returning engineering graduate students to our college. EGCC is a student-run organization representing graduate students at the college and the university level. We are working to amplify the collaboration among graduate students belonging to different disciplines in the college. We are fully dedicated for organizing various academic events, career sessions , town hall meetings and safety meetings in the college throughout an academic year.  Also, EGCC’s annual big social event is well known to students, staff and faculty members where they come to meet each other over snacks and drinks.

EGCC emphasizes on providing graduate students with up to date information from Graduate Students Association (GSA), University of Saskatchewan. EGCC is committed to cater the needs and concerns of our graduate students by updating the Dean’s office regularly. In this way, students feel more involved with each other and administration staff. We have a Graduate Student Lounge (3C70) where you can come to take your meal and spend time with your fellows. At the same time, it is our responsibility to maintain the electrical appliances installed over there while keeping our surrounding neat and clean.

In addition, EGCC always looks for enthusiastic volunteers who want to build up their credentials and multi-tasking skills by widening social and professional networks. Moreover, you are encouraged to participate in decision-making process by becoming a Discipline Representative for your respective department. So, keep in touch with EGCC’s executives and feel free to contact me at egcc.president@usask.ca

I wish you all the best for a successful year ahead.

Sincerely,

Gurpreet Singh,

President, Engineering Graduate Community Council (EGCC)
